The Devil in the Dark

On a stormy night, orphaned survivor Vivinea stumbles into the private banquet of underworld godfather Kai Lorenzo and witnesses a brutal execution. She believes she has seen her own death sentence — until Kai notices the old scar on her wrist and recognizes her as the daughter of someone from his past. Instead of killing her, he confines her inside the Lorenzo estate, turning her into the one person he refuses to let go.
